Cooking Classes

Join Chef Maïmouna in preparing dishes from West Africa. You will experience meat and vegan options. Your participation in the cooking is part of what makes it fun! We will sample the demonstrated dishes and there will be some to keep. Please mention any food allergies when registering! Group Classes are run on a periodic basis and offered as group and private sessions, see current opportunities below. Group Classes

Give as a unique gift (Father’s Day, Mother’s Day, Birthday, Graduation, etc.) to another! Email us and after you register we can send you an individualized gift certificate to present to the person. Join them and come as a "duo"! (The "duo" price is $10 less per person).

The next class is on Saturday, September 26, 2026., 9am to 12noon.

Winter 2027 Classes will be held:

Saturday, February 20th (buy this class as a Valentine’s gift for 2/14/26 and come as a couple!)

Maimouna's Cuisine Birthday Gift Special: set-up a specific date a with us by email and you can give the class as a birthday gift paying for 4-8 party goers. We'll even provide a cake and candles at the end of the class, no extra cost, to share along with the meal the participants cook!

Classes  take place at the First Baptist Church Kitchen (downtown Ithaca next to Dewitt Park), parking available weekend or after 4:45pm next to the church in the Tompkins County Courthouse parking lot.
